Bar.B.Q Plaza (1st Visit) - 1Utama New Wing

The place for ths time around is called Bar.B.Q Plaza located at 1Utama New Wing. I went over with my brother and sister in law. They insisted to try out the place. Well actually all of us tried the place before but just that we had the craving for BBQ that moment. We waited for a seat around 10mins. Reasonable I guess. The place was quite spacious. But I think it lacks employees as they were over work. Anyway, back to the restaurant. We ordered the Family Deluxe Set. The set is recommended for 3 -4 pax. The sets consists of Sirloin, Beef, Pork, Bacon, Chicken, Squid, Fish Fillet, Shrimp, Udon, Sliced Cabbage, Baby Corn, Carrot, Lettuce, Tomato and etc. The food was nice and the soup was nice also.Than we ordered one set of Chilled Mini Octopus. The baby octopus was very nice if you like cold raw sea food. The mix up the order accidentally and served us another plate of octopus. Lucky~!We had also ordered their Bacon Rolls. The bacon roll is also very nice. The bacon roll is stuffed with rice and some vegetables. Nice!!!

The set come with plain steam rice. But I heard from my friend that they do offer garlic fried rice. Which is more better with the sauce that they provide.
Let’s go to the sauce, they give slices of lemon, sliced chillies, and minced garlic. Add that all wit their secret sauce and you got one super delicious combination. Yup~! I found out that the secret to the restaurant is their sauce. Well that is all my opinion alone.

So the whole dinner was really filling I can say. Will I return for another round. Definately~! The damage for the night was around RM 71.00 (inclusive of 3 drinks). Not too expensive I guess. (Rating : 7.5 out of 10.0)

Restaurant Waroeng Penyet - The Curve

The place I’m gonna intro this week is Waroeng Penyet at The Curve. It’s a new restaurant which is situated at the same floor as Kim Garry Restaurant. It served local Indonesian food. So dun be surprised if u see a lot of local people and also Indonesian eating there. The place was quite full when we’re there. We were able to get a table for 5 luckily. Let’s get to the food, they served Fried, Grilled and also some local salads.Their house specialty is their Fried Ayam Penyet which means flattened fried chicken.
The dish come with 1/4 of a chicken. Fried and flattened with alot of crust. Yummy. It also come with their local tauhu and also mashed meat tauhu and cabbage. There is also some nasty chillies to go with it. If u like spicy food than try it out. Not bad I might say.
Oh ya, plain rice is ordered separately. Maybe they don't wanna incurred the cost in the food if you dun feel like eating the rice. The rice cost RM 1.90. Yup~! It’s quite pricey for some plain rice. They also offer their local cracker if u dun wanna eat the rice which cost the same.
The other recommended by the place was their Grilled Ayam.Well not bad also. They served the same side dishes as the Ayam Penyet but without the spicy chillies. Like the name said, it is grilled and it’s quite tasty too. But the portion is a bit small for me.

Then for the refreshment we had ordered their Happy Soda which, LP said tasted like cough syrup. hahaha~ Well maybe it is. The Es Milo Dinosaur means that it’s Kau Kau. haha~ And one more thing, the food is dry and with no gravy so better order the soupalicios where you can add some soup on your rice. hehe~! Restaurant Zheng Jia (Bak Kut Teh) - Bandar Puchong Jaya

Me and my two colleagues (Calvin & Hor) are deciding where to eat and Hor decided to eat Bak Kut Teh and I had suggested our old place, Zheng Jia @ Bdr Puchong Jaya. Well why you may ask for me to specifically suggested this place? For my close makan kaki, they will know that I am so into dry BKT rather than wet. So this place served one of the best dry BKT. Well other than the one in Sentosa that is. haha~ Anyway, we had ordered 3 pax size for the dry and 2 pax for the wet and also once dish of vegetable.
They also served normal oil rice and also their specialty rice. I had the normal rice but my colleague ordered the latter. What’s so nice about their dried BKT you may ask? Well for one it’s very well cook and the gravy which consists of dried chillies and also dried fried calamari. It’s damn tasty. For those who are curious, you can always try this out. But make sure it’s authentic. Well the dry BKT came from Klang I guess. Not many places served dry type but this is how I eat it now days.
For the normal wet type, it’s was just alright. I didn’t taste much of it. As I was digging in the dry one. The vegetables was normal nothing much to brag about. So the only special thing is their dry BKT I guess. So go try it out. The damage was around RM 59.50 including tea and extra 3 rice. (Rating: 4.2 out of 5.0)

The address is Mo.121, Jalan Kenari 23, Bandar Puchong Jaya. I think they closed on every Monday.

Kafe Maroon - Aman Suria

It was Wednesday and I am looking for a place for lunch yet again. I have an appointment at Sunway Mas Commercial Centre after lunch hour and Kafe Maroon suddenly pop onto my head. The place served Indian, Western and Local Cuisine. But the thing that caught my appetite are their Authentic Indian Cuisine which from the Northern and also Southern part of India. Well it’s just another D’ Kayu you might say but it’s really not. They served Indian Cuisine Starter like Spicy Cheesy Bread (Maroon’s version of Brushetta, toasted bread topped with spicy chicken and layered with cheeese), Masala Papad (fried papad with tomato cucumber and spices), Paneer Stick (deep fried cottage cheese) and Soup of the day (which is their mushroom soup).
They served rice like Pulau Rice, Peas Rice and also Plain Briyani. For bread they served Plain Naan, Butter Naan, Garlic Naan<>and also Stuffed Vegetable Parata (naan stuffed with vege).

OK, let’s go into the main menu. For Northern Indian Curries, they served Palak Paneer (creamy spinach with cottage cheese), Dhal, Aloo Gobi Masala, Paneer Makkan Wala (cottage cheese in creemy sauce, which I highly recommend), Malai Kofta and lots more.
For Southern Indian Curries, they served Chicken Varuval, Mutton Cukka, Fish Curry, Prawn Masala, Crab Masala, Chicken 65 (fried tender boneless chicken), Mutton Masala, Crab Pittu and the lists just goes on.
I won’t go into Western and Local Cuisine that much as it’s just extra entries onto their menu. But to satisfy your curiosity, they do served Stuffed Mushroom (fresh mushroom stuffed with creamed beef bacon), Mix Salad, Caesar Salad, Bolognese/Cabonara Classic, Mixed Seafood Pasta, Steaks & Lambs, Chicken & Fish, Sandwiches and Snacks. They do served plain parata, egg/onion parata, cheese parata, chapati and lots more la. OK, what I ordered you ask? I go for the set lunch which is their Nasi Briyani Set and Chicken Tandoori Naan Set. For the Briyani, there is one drumstick and salad and small portion of sambal. It’s was OK but not that filling. But than again I got the mushroom soup which tasted really nice. It is served with one loaf of garlic bread. The mushroom is minced too small tiny sizes which u can’t bite but u knw it’s there as the scent was really strong. For the garlic naan, they FOC me some dhal. (RM15.90)The Tandoori came first than my briyani. The Tandoori Naan was really large in size. The tandoori was fresh roasted or how u might call it. The naan was plain but still it’s soft and smells nice. Not those that we ate outside our mamak stalls. haha~ They gave us two curries for the set which consists of dhal and also palak paneer (which tasted really nice if I may add). (RM 12.90)I also ordered their Soup of the day which is mushroom soup and also Garlic Naan. The sets comes with a bottomless Ice Lemon Tea/Coke/Pepsi and also single scoup of ice cream for desert. Before the food arrived they served Papadam for us to eat. Than came the ice lemon teas. As I ased for extra curries. The garlic naan was fresh and a lot of garlic if I might say. (RM 7.00)
Later on they served us the ice cream which can I can choose between Choc or Strawberry. I choose choc and it was really nice. Not those normal Nestle ice cream that we buy from hypermarket la .. haha~ , (which is really worth it with the bottomless drinks and desert),

So the whole lunch cost me around RM 45.00. Quite worth it I may say from the food and also service and environment of the place. It’s quite and they even have wireless in their kafe.

Their address is G-G-22, Jln PJU 1/45, Aman Suria.
