Glee

I saw this mini series in my playlist for months but didn't gave it any thought till some friends of mine were talking but the songs inside the show. I think most of you out there would have watch or at least heard about it since it's already rolling into the third season now. I had managed to watched 18 episodes of it in 3 days. Yes, you heard me right, it's really that good and entertaining. Entertaining in terms of the musical scenes in each of the series. It's an American Musical Comedy Drama all lump into one. The mini series tells of a school teacher, Mr. Schuster who decided to pick up the school's music class, Glee and recruiting some of the weirdest but talented students. The hard part would be sustaining the class as there are internal issues of the members are afraid of how other students are looking at them while the external from a Ms. Sue who wanted to crush them all. Trust me the movie is not just about drama-ness but the music selections from the early 80s till the very recent Beyonce's Single Lady. One word, Fabulous~~~!!

New Launch of FF Empire

Finally FF Empire is officially opened this evening. The guest of honor is our Minister of Sport and Youth. As usual, media was invited and some local celebrities (not that other gym) even make some time to drop by. There were some confusion on the time table for the main studio as both BA & BC classes are canceled off last minute as they are making way for the press conference in the main studio. But since the press conference ended earlier than expected, both the classes are reinstated at the very last minute (again). I had signed up for RPM class but at the end decided to join BC as Master T made it for the class together with June. It was a half an hour class so we only did some tracks from the whole release. Second class would be BS by Steven & Jacky. Damn the class was packed and high. I think all of us really had fun during the class. Finally it was BP by K-Bear & Sue P. The theme for the night was supposed to be beach wear in accordance with the new pool and no other instructors don the attire except for Sue and K-Bear. You Go Girl~~~ Requested some tracks, so need to go the extra miles for the class. Although it's just upper body work out but we really rock the class till the very end. How's the pool? Seemed very hot since it's open air. Someone swam in the pool before I left and some member told me that someone was even smoking at the pool? Possible?

What Do I Think

It has been a week since the new opening of Fitness First Empire. Words hasn't been too friendly to the new gym but I think it will change slowly as time goes by. For me, it wasn't what I hope but heck, it's a fact that it's what we are having and we might as well make the best of it. OK, I agreed it's not the best of gym but it's also not the worst. I am sure there are a lot of hiccups in terms of service or facilities and even the environment which all the veterans members need to get use to. Let just gave it another 2 months when all the crowds had cleared and the gym wouldn't be that pack anymore. For me, the main issue would be over crowded of members from other outlets coming to try out the new one. Who can blame them, it's human nature. For example, last Friday night wasn't as pack as any other week days, and the place suddenly felt so warm and comfy like the old one.

I did complaint bout the size of the locker room which is smaller than the one at WC but then again, since I am going over early, I can get the one which I like. Problem solved. lolx!!! Anyway, we all just need to wait for the swimming pool to be officially open tomorrow night with accordance with the launch of the new gym. There's a lot which we can complaint, but we might as well live with what we have right now and make the best of it rather than complaining for something which I don't think will make any changes. My 2 cents of course.

Sneak Preview of Empire's FF

Don't wanna go through the whole story on how I managed to slipped in but let's just agreed that I am resourceful. Once you come out from the lift (2 of them) you will come to the front desk with the Platinum sign.

After passing the front desk you will be looking at the free weights area. This is the view on the right with the cycling machine facing Subang view. Further down would be the RPM studio and the Main Studio which is partially (stage) with an open view of Subang too. And NO, I don't think there is an open view in the RPM studio.

On your left you will be seeing the drinking area. And there's the stairs going to the second floor and we all know what is on the second floor now. But before that, on the left, would be the locker room but I am not sure if it's for gents or ladies.

Closer look of the drinking section. Look's really nice but seemed a bit small for members to sit down and rest though.

Now, on the second floor, would be the infinity swimming pool which we would be sharing with the hotel guest. You can somehow estimate how big is the pool from the picture. But there are two pillars in the middle which I don't think is suitable for some serious swimmers. Some really cool lights on the pillar at night which I noticed just now. Good place to chill out on a Friday night I guess.

Another view from the second floor down the free weights area. Looks really bright from the big glass with a really good view of whole Subang (or most of it). Couldn't get into the main studio as it's still under reno. Seemed like still has a lot work to do but it's schedule to open on the 17th May (Monday). So I guess, they need to rush for the renovation to meet the opening date. Fingers cross.

Jailbreaking iPhone/iPod For Dummies Using Spirit

Since I have some friends who asked me how to JB their iDevice using the new Spirit's software, I had decided to share some of my know-how. Well, since I did mine last weekend and it was so easy, I guess anyone could do it by themselves. So here goes, as always, some notes before we go on further. JB your iDevice might void your warranty so do proceed with caution and please please BACKUP or SYNC to iTunes before you do anything. So once you had done all that, please read the following steps.

Download Comex's Spirit JB software HERE.

If you are a Windows 7 user and encounter compatibility problem, please go to Property and under Compatibility, change the mode to Windows 99/Windows ME.

 Launch the Spirit software.

You will be ask to connect your iDevice and Press JAILBREAK

Now the software to start JB your phone and after completing, it will prompt you to QUIT.

Press QUIT and your iDevice will reboot and a status bar will appear to show the status (DUH!).

After completion, your iDevice will be consider JB and you will find the Cydia icon in your Springboard.

If you have any Wi-Fi or Network Connectivity problem, you can try to RESET the network setting. As usual, after JB your phone, you can always install other apps in it like Winterboard, Activator, Backgrounder and lots more for changing the outlook and features of your phone. But that is too much for me to explain in here. So play smart and don't do anything stupid if you are not sure. Enjoy~!

PS: The author do not take any responsibility to any damage to the user's iDevice after reading the above post. Pictures are courtesy from iPhonehacks.

You're Looking For WHAT?

And I thought I heard every single funny stuff one could hear in an elevator, God, I was wrong. I was getting into the elevator this evening and along the way down, the door open and I saw two men talking. I am sure that one of the man is from China from his look and heavy ascent. The other is a hotel staff who is a Malay. They are conversing in MANDARIN!! No that is not the funny part since it's normal that other races in Malaysia could speak other language. I figured that the China man was looking for something but this staff couldn't seemed to get what he wanted. Maybe that word is too 'deep'?. The China man uncle turned and look at me and said

Note: Whole conversation is in Mandarin
China Man: Do you understand Mandarin?
Me: Yes (DUH!!!)
China Man: Can you explain to him that I am looking for 避孕套? (YES, I practically google that word for you)
Me: (WTF??) Dia nak cari Condom.
Staff: OH! Kat Lobby ada kedai yang jual.
China Man: Aiya~ Hotel should placed one or two 避孕套 in the drawer ma, you see now so fussy need to go down and buy.
Me: (WTF??!!) Oh Yes, they should.
China Man: Thank you

The China man quickly walk over to one of the store and get his 避孕套 and rush back to his room (I assumed) for some 'excitement' (I am sure of).

Spirit's OS 3.1.3 Jailbreak

I had mentioned previously that Spirit had finally uploaded their untethered jailbreak for iPod, iPhone and even iPad. But be aware that Spirit isn't a carrier un-locker. It means that, it won't unlock your phone if you are not using iPhone's purchased directly from Maxis or Digi. If you are currently using tethered jailbreak on your gadget, please restore it first before installing Spirit. Please take note, do not upgrade if you're using an unlock on your gadget as this will disable your unlock. But again, you can downgrade it to OS 3.1.2 using SHSH blob for that version if you accidentally did. (duh~!)

Please take note that jailbreaking your device will void the warranty so please remember to backup. Whatever you do, backup by syncing with iTunes. I know some of my friends who never did this, and may god bless them. SO here's the download for WINDOWS & MAC OS. This is an updated version which the previous version would delete some of your pictures and some other minor error issue. And if you still encounter error code c0000005, you can try changing the compatibility mode to Windows 95. Have fun you all~ Cheers!

PS: Please make sure you're using any iTunes version 9 and above.

Transformer's Convoy iPod Dock

Saw this Transformer's Convoy iPod dock last weekend. This is so cool. The dock also charges your Apple gadgets like iPod and iPhone. No FM stereo but at least it looks really cool on your shelf. I am not sure if I saw the price correctly as RM47.90 or RM447.90. But I am sure it would be the latter since it's imported from Japan.

Ip Man 2

Ip Man or most people called it I.P Man has a lot of good reviews and response from my friends. Some told me they cried during a part of the movie, while some cursed in the movie when the gwai lo talked ill of us Asian. This must be really good. I can still remember the scenes from the first installment as I watched it few weeks before this. Well, just to refresh the memory and the fight between him and the ten Japanese is so memorable. The second movie continued where it left off when Ip Man and his family escaped the Japanese armies and resided at Hong Kong with the help of his friends. Life is difficult as it's not easy to open a martial art school during that era.

The martial art world, has their own set of rules which is being headed by Master Hung played by Sammo Hung who is also the martial art director of the movie. But no matter how good you are, you are still governed by the corrupted police head at that time. During a competition, Sammo Hung is being killed by a English boxer name Twister. The Twister then later insult all Chinese martial artist and this infuriate Ip Man who later decided to go mano e mano with him in the ring. No surprises on who wins, but it's truly a dramatic and full of great martial art. I don't think there is a third installment of the movie, so better get your ass to the cinema and watch it for yourself. And the last part where Bruce Lee came to look for Ip Man was so funny. Remember to watch that and tell me that's not funny. OK, I watched two movies in one day. So sue me.

Iron Man 2

I had mix opinion about this movie. I am so looking forward to watching the sequel of the movie. But I am always going into the cinema with an open heart and mind. I can't always take whatever people said about a movie without watching it myself. And this is an example of what I meant. I truly enjoyed the movie and I don't even felt that it's over or close to 2 hours while watching it. Everyone is still the same with except for Lt. Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes as it's being played by Don Cheadle. So whose the new villain? He is called Ivan Vanko who is played by Mickey Rourke.

Story takes place after the first movie after Tony Starks announced to the world that he's really Iron Man. Government thinks that the Iron Man suit is a threat to nation and asked Starks to gave it up to the army. But of course the latter declined and assured  that no one in the world will come close of developing a suit similar to his or at least not in 20 years time. Then Ivan Vanko appeared and created a similar suit of his own and managed to harm Iron Man sort of speak. Starks's competitor Justin Hammer saw this potential in Ivan and managed to rescue him from the prison to work for him. But in this case, who is using who is still unsure.

At the end, Iron man saves the day, again. Duh~! Together with his buddy, Rhodey who is wearing the iron man suit code name War Machine. As the name goes, the suit specialize in heavy weaponry. The movie also tells how Tony managed to create a new element to replace the toxic Paladium in his body. Overall, it's a really entertaining movie as Tony or Robert Downey Jr. is so humorous and when action sake, there's plenty of that too. Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson has more scenes in this installment with Natasha Romanoff as the special agent from SHIELD. As usual, please stay back at the end of the movie for a sneak preview of the up-coming movie from Marvel. If you don't get what the hell happens at the end of the movie, let me know. haha~!!! One word, Thor.
