Max Payne

This is a movie which was inspired by a computer game. I still remembered this game first came out around 5 years ago. Damn it's so cool~! The slow-mo was the best. Matrix just came out at that time and everyone was so into the slow-mo sequence.

OK, coming back to the movie. It stars Mark Warlberg as Detective Max Payne. His world got turned upside down after the death of his wife and baby. So he spent the rest of his life searching for the people who is responsible for their death. A new lead on the culprit resurface after a few year when people started to die one by one. Their death are claimed to be responsible by some angels from heaven. Weird? Well the plot was quite predictable for me. Managed to guess the whole plot after less than 30minutes of the whole show.

The show might not be that interesting nor deep but for those (like me) who played the game before hand, would definitely watch it as I am curious to see how they gonna portray Max Payne in the real movie screen. I was waiting for some non-bullshit fast hitting gun shooting scene as in the game but it only happens around the end of the show. Quite disappointing and it's quite short. I expected more action in the movie but rather they focused more on the life of the character and how it effects his surrounding people. Not bad, makes me wanna reinstall the game and play it all over again. (Rating: 3.5 out of 5.0)
