Restaurant Aneka Selera Chicken Cuisine - Glenmarie

It was around 11.30am when I called up MD for lunch. The location, I had suggested Restaurant Aneka Selera Chicken Cuisine in Glenmarie. The place offers a lot of food varying from economy rice, pork noodles and pan mee but specialize in Curry Noodle and Yong Tau Fu. I had came over the place numerous times, but it was MD's first visit. But as he got a sore throat, so he can't ordered the Curry Mee. But instead he ordered the Pork Noodle in Soup. As for me, Curry Mee with Yong Tau Foo of course. Most of the patron came from the commercial lot nearby as this is the only Chinese Restaurant around the area. Initially I had suggested to eat Meng Kee Famous Char Siew which is on the same row. But too much pork for MD. So diverted to this place. One word of advice, it's self service. So you need to go to the counter to order and wait for the food to be served. But it's very fast. So you won't be waiting for 5 mins. The water they sold was expensive too, Herbal Tea for Rm2.00.

Their curry soup is definitely hot and spicy. The owner do not give extra soup as they afraid that we can't finish the original one. Standard curry mee consists of Kangkung, Half of an egg, Tau Foo, Curry Chicken + Potatoes. I had added in 3 pieces of Yong Tau Foo side dishes. Trust me, it's really good but a lot of oil in it. What do you expect, it's curry. The color was really what a true curry soup should look like, red and lots of oil (ok, maybe not lots of oil). The curry chicken was nice and tender too. But I like my soup to be more thicker and spicier. Fresh Kangkung as it's very crunchy. The Yong Tau Foo was nice too. But the price was a bit high, RM 6.60 (inclusive of all the side dishes) and it's a standard bowl. I didn't ordered a larger one as I'm afraid I can't finished it. So for those who like Curry Mee, this is truly a place I would recommend. (Rating: 4.0 out of 5.0)
