I had rushed over to 1Utama after work to meet up with MD to catch a movie at 3.30pm. The movie, Hellboy II - The Golden Army. So if you watched Super Sapiens a.k.a Hellboy, you would have know where this big red fella came about. So here's a synopsis of the second installment of this movie.
The Golden Army begins when an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken; Hell on earth is ready to erupt. Hellboy 2 tells the tale of a ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below, defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Its up to the planets toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders.
The story bring back Ron Perlman as Hellboy a.k.a Red, his love interest Selma Blair as Liz Sherman a.k.a the Fire Starter and Doug Jones as Abe a.k.a The Fishman. In this installment came a new recruit which is their new BPRD office, James Dodd as Johan Krauss a.k.a the Smoke Bag.
The story is directed by Guillermo del Toro who directed Pan's Labyrinth. So you can see some resemblance of the fairies in Hellboy II. All together the movie was alright for me. Well worth my RM11 for this 2 hour flick. (Rating : 3.8 out of 5.0)
