The Coffin

Another Thai horror movie? But a friend once told me that this Thai movie is quite scary. If you know me well, I like horror movie which can scare me or atleast try to. The last that managed to do so was Shutter and I thought this could give the same effect. But boy was I wrong.

The story started with two character Chris and Sue from totally different background. Both of them have their own wish to fulfilled, Chris hopes that his girlfriend, Mariko would wake up from his coma while Sue wishes her illness will be gone. Both of them heard of this ritual of living people sleeping in a coffin nail shut for one night, and their fate will be change. Their wishes did came true, but strange event started to happen. You can see some familiar faces in the movie from Long Khong and also Shutter. Good? You decide.

There is some cheap thrills here and there but it failed to give me some really adrenaline rush, not even a tit. The main actor was previously from Shutter and Sue was played by Karen Mok. Her acting was superb and convincing. The emotion and facial expression was really good. No doubt bout it. Since her English was so good, I wasn't surprised that she got the role. (Rating: 3.5 out of 5.0)

I like Karen Mok in this movie either, and her superb acting technique is really cool.

Yup~! I think it's good that she grab more International movies rather than just sticking back to HK movies.

Just to keep her options open.
