Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony Night

So what did we (Me, Romiko, BQ and CP) did last night? Well 3 of us skipped gym for sure. We decided to watch the Beijing Olympic 2008 Opening Ceremony at BQ's place. So I arrived around 7.30pm and decided to buy some food over to eat. Since we're all eating together, I had decided to buy a mixture of food which we could all eat. CP said that he's gonna buy some mangostein and durian. Nice~!

When I arrived, BQ just got home and it's already 8.05pm. Can't find the correct channel as mentioned by CP previously. So we stick with watching part of it from RTM1. CP arrived and got the managed to get the correct channel for us, which is 318.

So all of us started to dig in our dinner, which consists of 3 types of noodle and 1 rice. Hokkien Mee, Mun Yee Min, Sing Chow Mai and Thai Fried Rice. Each I ordered for 2 pax. Damn it's a lot. And I was afraid that it's not enough initially. But we managed to finished it at the end (well most of it).
Then we continued with the mangostein which I don't really eat. So three of them happily cracking the mangostein and eating it. While discussing how old and young the fruit is. (No, the bottom left picture is not some Ah Piow but LP~!)

So next was the food which we're all eagerly waited for, which was the Durian. CP generously had bought 2 different kind of breed, which consists of Tik Ka (left) and D24 (right). Definitely the Tik Ka was superior. And LP was so lucky to arrived when we're half way through. Maybe she can scent the durian from miles away. LOL~!!! The opening ceremony was really fantastic with the choreograph superbly done by Zhang Yimou himself. So expect a lot of big scale people running up and down or even in this case flying or even running in the sky. What a spectacular opening it is. Those who missed it, well though luck. But you can always watched it back on youtube, but the feeling won't be the same as we're watching it together with the whole of the world. The way the last torch bearer ignite the flame in the stadium was really amazing. So go watch it for those who hasn't watch it yet. I promise you won't get disappointed. We called it a night after the fire of Olympic had been ignited. And since LP was so nicely sleeping on the sofa already. haha~! So off we go back to our house around 12.30am. Thanx again BQ for lending us your house for the event.
