Jailbroken iPhone User - Take Note!!!

For those who had jailbroken their iPhone, this would be some serious news which you will need to take note. There had been two attacks on jailbroken iPhone previously with the first being just a warning while the second being a mild cough but the latest worm/virus attack on the phone is definitely something you need to take care off. For those who is so clever to jailbreak their iPhone and don't know how to reset their root password, well then please listen on.

Instructions to Install Mobile Terminal:

Step 1: Tap on the Cydia icon on your jailbroken iPhone to launch the application

Step 2: Open the 'Sections' tab on the bottom of the screen and select 'Terminal Support'

Step 3: From the list of packages, select and open 'Mobile Terminal'

Step 4: Tap on the 'Install' button and choose 'Confirm' to begin installation

Step 5: Once installation completes, tap on 'Close Window' button to finish the installation process.

Once mobile terminal is installed on your iPhone, you can proceed to changing the root password

Instructions to Change Root Password:

Step 1: Tap on the 'Mobile Terminal' icon on your iPhone Springboard to launch it.

Step 2: You are shown a black screen. Against the command prompt, type su and tap the return key.

Step 3: You are now prompted for the password. The default password for root is alpine. Input this text and tap the return key once again.

Step 4: You are now logged in as the root user. Against the command prompt, enter the command passwd and tap the return key.

Step 5: You will be prompted to enter a new password. Enter this new password and retype to confirm.

And please make sure that you don't forget the password that you had change as you might need to reset/restore your whole phone to set it again.

The Twilight Saga : New Moon

This is definitely a chick flick but since babe was so eager to watched it so I had no choice but to accompanied. Well, OK, to be frank, I was a bit interested too of how the story goes after the first installment, Twilight. I think after the first episode, the name Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart. This is the two most recognizable name from the first movie and ironically even I know the former name by now. But the second movie focuses more on Bella's life, played by Kristen, after Edward, played by Robert left her as to protecting her in his opinion. So the other character, Jacob played by the handsome young hunk Taylor Lautner. *spoiler*

The story pick up after Edward decided that he's more safer away from Bella and left abruptly. Bella life crumbles down and she couldn't live her life without him being at her side for months. Well, not until he pick up her relationship with her old friend, Jacob. Things started to get better until Jacob expresses his feeling for her and their relationship gets really complicated. Jacob finally lived his destiny to being a werewolf after joining Sam. Bella had a near death experience and Edward mistakenly thought she dies so he decided to go to the Voultran to end his life. And this time around it's the ladies who came to the guy's rescue. At the end of the story, she decided to have Edward to change her to a Vampire to live forever with him.

The rest, you need to wait for the final installment called Eclipse. Not sure when it's coming out but I guess most probably next year. As mentioned this is a chick flick but I guess it's still a good movie although it's a bit slow on the pace. The fighting scene are so good and some worth mentioning was during the fight between Laurent & the pack of werewolf and not to mention the Voultran fight scene too. So damn cool. Worth a watch if you had watched the first installment, well at least to complete the trilogy of course. Did I fall asleep? Although it's a 2 hours movie but I still managed to stayed awake and enjoyed the movie at the end. (Rating: 3.8 out of 5.0)

No More Tuesday Body Step Class??!!!

I am doing my usual Tuesday Body Step class and at the end of the class, Brian informed us all that this will be his 'last' class for this slot. What?? He mentioned that the slot will be replace by a Body Attack class in the future or starting from December onwards. Why are they changing the slot since there are quite a few of loyal members joining every week. Bare in mind, it's a 5.45pm class and sometimes it's a full house and on bad day it would at least be 8 - 10 people. To me it's really a good turn out for that time slot. But I guess some one in the management didn't think so and wanted some more quality and experience people to take over the slot. But the strange thing was, when I check out the time table for next month, it's actually still Body Step class by but another instructor, Prudent. WTH???!! There goes my Tuesday Body Step class. Sigh~!!!

Perodua Alza Finally Launch

The new Perodua Alza (wiki the word Alza and it means 'rise' in Spanish) was launched on Tuesday but some of us was given the first preview before the launch last weekend (Maybank customers as written in my SMS). The 1.5L MPV goes on sale starting from yesterday and had reported that they had already received 3,500 bookings in ten days. This is definitely a good figure for a local made car. This is Perodua's first MPV and everyone are looking forward to it's launch.

The prices ranges between RM56K to RM64K for the Standard model and between RM67K to RM70K for the Advanced version. So what is the difference you may ask? On the Advance or Premium version, there's audio control switches on the steering wheel, a 4-speaker and CD/MP3/WMA audio system with Bluetooth capability. This is a few features for the advance model.

The Standard model comes in manual (SX) and also auto (EZ). While the Advance model too comes in manual (SXi) and also auto (EZi). The MPV is a 7-seater car and you can find some resemblance of it with Toyota Passo Sette (and Daihatsu Boon Luminas) but Alza is slightly longer (50mm). The car also share some same feature of Myvi and less than 30% in term of components used. The MPV is powered by a 1.5L twin-cam pot power and is able to fork out 103bhp at 6,000rpm and 136Nm at 4,400rpm of torque. Standard five-speed manual and also four-speed for auto transmission with another four variants type to go on sale soon. The dimension of the car is 2,520(L) x 1,415(W) x 1,310(H) which is quite spacious but I didn't really go over and look at the actually unit myself though.

I heard that they (Perodua) is coming out with an Advanced Version in the first quarter next year which come with full body kit, leather seats, windscreen-mounted 5-inch GPS unit and a 150-degree wide angle reverse camera with special tint film. So you can start making your booking now and most probably you will be able to get your car after CNY. I think I have more faith in Perodua's MPV compared to Proton's Exora after seeing both now. Now to test drive the car. hehehe!

You Nak I Potong?

I think by now everyone had already heard of the controversial 'potong' ad by P1. And TM too had counter back with their own ad and the fight kept on growing day by day. But I am not talking bout this 'potong' ad today but rather sharing a story which happened to my colleague today with TM. My colleague received a call from TM personnel (last weekend) asking him bout his address as they are coming to install the phone line. But the problem is, my friend's phone line had already been in usage for 2 weeks. WTF??? So he called up TM and guess what brilliant excuse that they gave?

"Sir! We had made a mistake on your phone line. The number that you are using are supposedly registered by another company. So we need to cancel off your current number and we will get back to you with a new number"

WTF!!!! My colleague had already used the number for 2 weeks and now only they told him this? According to the guy from TM, the number was registered around the same time with my friend and they accidentally registered the same number for my friend and the company. If I were my friend, I would just ask the fella to fark off and this is none of my farking problem as I had already used the number for 2 weeks. The company had just wanted to install the phone line last week and they had the gut to say that the company had registered for more than 2 weeks?? My friend gave in and they informed my friend that they need 3 weeks to get him a new number. HAHAHA!!!! Super funny!!! You Nak I Potong ar????

A Week of Romance

So what I did this weekend? Well other going out for some short window shopping session, most of the time I am lying on my bed watching a lot of dramas and movies. It's nice being able to catch up on movies I had downloaded. It has been a weekend of romance for me and babe as we watched The Ghost of Girlfriends Past, The Proposal and The Ugly Truth. Yes, I watched in that order and one if better than the previous being The Ugly Truth had my two thumbs up. The Ghost of Girlfriends Past starred Matthew McConaughey & Jennifer Garner but even the once Sexiest Man Alive winner can't save this movie. Started strong but faded away during half time. 

The second movie I watched was The Proposal. I had higher hopes as I heard it was good. The movie starred the bubbly Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds. The movie was able to entertain me almost through out the whole stretch but it's missing something. But nevertheless, it was entertaining and better than the first movie. The third movie I watched is The Ugly Truth which starred both the beautiful Katherine Heigl and charming Gerard Butler. This is the first time I saw Gerald Butler acted in a romantic comedy movie which he had accomplished very well if I do say so myself. Totally hilarious and the chemistry is there. Highly recommended to those who wanted to just kick back in their sheet snugging with their love one on a Saturday night. Perfect. I give a two thumbs up for this one.

Google Phone?

Rumor had started to float around the net that Google is coming out with their own phone soon. If you all remembered, there are rumor back at 2007 that GPhone gonna be out at that time, but the rumor was brushed off by them eventually. People from TechCrunch strongly believe and confidence from the news that they had (somewhere) that Google is gonna launch their new phone really soon and get this, it's complete with Google branding. From what they heard, the phone would be Android based and manufactured by Korean phone maker, most probably LG. So you can expect the outlook to be really stylish and cool from them. The phone should be branded as Google as well.

TechCrunch also reported that the phone would be a data ONLY device and VoIP enable. In other words, all voice call will be routed over data services. Since the phone is integrated with Google Voice, all the contacts will be provided by Google itself. So what will this new device impact on the current iPhone market? Google had an advantage of open source whereas Apple lost out on their super strict policies on Apps developers. This might not be a competitor that Apple could just brush off like the other Palm Pre or even Android. Since Google planned to run on a data only service utilizing VoIP, this means that carrier would be greatly effected as they can bypass the lucrative voice call charges by using data lines for overseas calls.

But all of this are just rumors and we are not sure how true is it. But as mentioned, TechCrunch are strongly confident of this report. So we will just have to wait and see how it goes then.

I Survived Easy Moves

It was my first class of the new Easy Moves program. Well actually I watched a few times of the class and I was thinking to myself, "This is not hard, this is like doing Body Step without the board". Intensity isn't that high but heck, the musics are great. So after RPM class yesterday night, BQ decided to have a try of the class and I decided to joined in too. Started off with some simple warm up to some really nice music. It's similar to Step class as it's non stop most of the time and you will need to learn the combo from one stage to the other. There were at least 4 -5 combo all together for last night's class. I had joined Steven's Step class before and I know I this would be a good chance to try out the new program with him instructing. The moves isn't that hard to follow if you are either Body Stepper or Body Attacker 'kaki'. As the combo built up to the last one, I am all hyped as I am getting the hang of it and was really enjoying myself. Sweat a lot and enjoyed myself that night. So will I continue to join this class every Thursday night? Another step class? OMG~! And I was thinking of dropping some classes as my ankle is giving me some signals lately. Well we will see how it goes.

Sore Throat Anyone?

Woke up today with a sore throat. Not sure why but quickly down some water as soon as I leave my bed. Did I ate something spicy yesterday night? Fried Rice? KFC? But I doubt it's because of that. Well anyway, got myself ready for work and as I was walking over to take my car I saw the usual nasi lemak stall. Surprisingly there wasn't much people queuing up for it today. The devil in me is telling me to buy a packet for breakfast. But the good side of me is telling me NO as it will worsen my sore throat. Finally the devil in me won the battle and at the end I was enjoying my nasi lemak with extra sambal in the office. Still couldn't find out what may had caused the throat issue till someone from gym mentioned that I was shouting too much (than usual) in class yesterday night. Well maybe not just that but the KFC plus the shouting and insufficient water intake might had tolled up and caused the episode. So the morale of the story, nasi lemak doesn't cause sore throat. lolx~!

I Am Pissed!!

The whole day was supposed to end quite nicely for me today, although it's a bit busy and I had lots to settled, but then again, it's work. So it's nothing much to complain about actually. Well until I received a call from one of my customer that is. He was complaining that I didn't come back to him on the delivery date for the machine that he had just purchased. I had previously informed him that I will need to get confirmation from my factory and that according to my quotation, the delivery would be 8 - 10 weeks but he complaint again that he don't wanna listen to all that and wanted the good to be in before the end of the year and etc etc etc. OMFG!!! Dealing with this customer is so damn farking exhausting. I kept on explaining and apologizing pointlessly. As I knew the end user whom he is selling the equipment to, and the customer wanted me to directly deal with them next time. I am starting to think about their suggestion now. I don't really agreed with my friend who wanted to directly deal with me on the next deal but now, what the heck!!! I am pissed!!!

2012 - The Movie

The movie which we had all been waiting for this month, 2012. I think everyone had already know or at least know what is this movie all about. Another movie about the end of the world. I think the gene started since Independence Day to The Day After Tomorrow to End of The World to When The Earth Stood Still to Knowing and now we have 2012. The title itself can be debated for so many reason. Is this really coming true? I mean with the sign of tsunami happening recently and also gigantic earth earth quake around the world? One would stop and ponder. So back to the movie.

The movie started off when a geologist from India found out (finally some other scientist other then the American) that something is wrong with the earth's crater. As the earth had been absorbing the sun radiation for so many years, it had started to boiled up like a big microwave and this means trouble. So the scientist informed another friend of his, Adrian who happened to be an American scientist and later informing the US President. That was 2009 and at 2012, the earth crater started to get really unbalance and started to crack open before schedule. The story tells of Jackson (John Cusack) who is bringing his children to YellowStone for camping and stumbled upon government geologist doing some research over there and a crazy news man is telling everyone one world is gonna end as being said by the ancient Mayans. The story tells how Jackson save his family and also some other people along the way and I won't spoil the ending for you but let's just say that it's a good ending and also logical.

So what do I think of this 2 and a half hour movie? Something refreshing and new as I mentioned earlier, as it's not everything need to be discovered by the Americans. There are still other scientist out there in the world. John Cusack again played the character really well in this movie. The story doesn't really focused on certain people but rather some other people who at the end get together and going to the same place which I like the way the story is going. So what do I learn from this movie? If the world is really coming to an end, 1) make sure you know some people from the inside who can bring you into the arc, cape hope is the safest place to be or you can just have 1 billion euro and buy yourself on board. lol~! (Rating: 4.2 out of 5.0)

The New GXM of WC

Continuing my eye infection episode from yesterday, I had finally decided to apply MC for the day since the swelling become worst. Well not as bad as it seemed anyway. I am just looking for an excuse to take leave maybe. So I slept till around noon and drove out for lunch and confirmed my issue with the doctor. The doctor said that it's due to some nerve blockage which some of individual will often encounter, me for instance. I can't do anything but just accept it from the sound of her. Got my medicine and most important my MC.

RPM class was really quiet tonight with just 5 members and I managed to request 2 tracks before the class starts. Before class, I quickly placed two step boards in the main studio as BQ wanted to joined BS tonight. Luckily she made it in time. Tonight was my first class instructed by June K. So as usual, I will give my feedback on the class. We did the new BS 77 warm up and during some part of the warm up, she got the chorey mixed up but I guess it's alright since it's her first class after some time a I heard. Vocal was clear as she's also the presenter for BA. Her moves are on the spot although some pre-cue would be nice. I still think that Brian's pre-cue is still the best from all the classes I'd been to. My ankle seemed to be 90% in tip top condition after tonight class. Continued with K-Bear's class but I am so damn tired after the two previous classes but still managed to finished it. Triceps and Biceps were crazy. But we had survived the class. 

Not AGAIN??!!

It all started this morning when I woke up and felt that my eye is a bit swollen. I am not sure if it's swollen or just water retention. But through out the day, I felt a bit uncomfortable on my left eye lid. Just the upper side. I felt a bit swollen during lunch time and asked a friend to confirmed. But she didn't noticed it before I asked her bout it. So I decided to just leave it for the time being. But during gym, some of my other friend told me that it's quite obvious and I can felt that my previous infection will be back again. So a friend recommended me to get some medicine for the eye infection. Bought something from Caring and quickly applied to my eye. Decided to apply for MC tomorrow if I the swelling worsen.

Jennifer's Body

Was thinking what to watched tonight with a friend when this movie pop up in our head, Jennifer's Body. I was supposed to watch this movie last week but didn't managed to get a ticket so it's Wednesday night and it's only RM8, well what the heck. I know some bit of how the story goes so I know what to expect whereas my friend thought it was a ghost movie. LOL! Anyway, the movie starred the sexy Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried. To be honest, I didn't know the latter was in the movie until I saw her in the movie. The reason was, all the movie posters only show Megan Fox in them. For those who live in the cave and doesn't know who is Megan Fox, one word, Transformers.

The movie starts off with Needy, played by Amanda living in an asylum and thinking back how it all began. Jennifer, played by Megan and Needy are BFF since they are little but two has very different personality. One being the sexy, outgoing and party girl while the other down to earth and shy type. But everything changed after a freak accident during a concert and a lot of people being burn to death and Jennifer being abducted (or rather follow on her own free will) by the boy band (Yes, I know it's very strange). Jennifer came back being a different person. She starts killing or rather eating guys up after making out with them. Yes, even stranger. But anyway, I will let you watch and find out what happen.

Megan Fox basically had lip locking action with every single guy in the movie. And you are able to see her in thin skimpy dresses and pajamas too. The ending was a bit too 'dramatic' for us. Why? Well let you decide for yourself and I trust that you will agree with me on this. I can still remember Jennifer's last word to Needy, "My tits" and she replied, "No! Your Chest". Damn that was so damn hilarious!!! Another part where Needy was having sex with her boyfriend and Jennifer was ripping the hell up another guy and the scene just kept on switching back and forth. Damn funny! Anyway, it is a good show to watch if you have nothing much to do. (Rating: 3.8 out of 5.0)

Damai Homes @ KU West

Just for your information, for those who are interested, Paramount had launched their new phase of units next to mine called Damai Homes. As you can see, the built up is 2,148 sq.ft which is slightly larger than mine. As the lot size they are having now is 22'x70' and 24'x70'. I heard that the price starts from RM408,000 onwards. So for those who are interested in getting some where around this area, better be quick.

I Sprain My Ankle AGAIN!!!

Was getting ready for Riyo's Body Step as usual last night and noticed that June K was joining the class at the back. Riyo choose some old tracks for the warm up and during the warm up, Track 2, as I was stepping my right leg down to the floor, I felt a twist on my ankle and I quick stop what I was doing. Fark~ I twisted my ankle. Check on my ankle and there wasn't any swelling yet, so I had tried to continued with the class until Track 6, as it was the over the board move. I don't think that my ankle can take that impact. Walked down and decided to give RPM a go. A bit pain during the standing climb hence I reduced the resistance a bit. Managed to finished the class and was supposed to sit Body Combat off but decided to give it a try too. Since Master C said that there wasn't much shuffle or leg move in the tracks selection. Damn, we did Summer Melody with lots of shuffle and jigga too. After Track 4, I decided to stop as the next track was Hymn. How can I decoy and shuffle that much? Applied some ointment on my ankle once I reached home and hope that it will be better today as I wanted to join my usual class. Fingers cross~

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

Finally it's out. Sony Ericsson's next year big  gun is out of the dark. It's been called their flagship for next coming year. Xperia X10 or previously called SE X3 or SE Rachael. This is their first android featured phone. So everyone is looking forward for it. The phone has a large 4 inches, 65K color TFT capacitive touchscreen. It has the same scratch resistance screen as iPhone 3GS has. With a dimension of 119 x 63 x 13mm and weighing at 135 grams, this baby will really give a lot of smartphone in the market a run of their money. Imagine a 4 inch TFT screen for you to surf the net or viewing documents. We all know how useful that is nowadays.

Internally it has 1 GB of storage and 256 MB RAM running on Android OS 1.6 (Donut). The phone featured the new Snapdragon 1 GHz processor, so expect some really heavy duty processing speed from this baby. All the usual connectivity such as Class 10 GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 comes as a standard. Packed with a 8 MP, 3264 x 2488 pixel camera, this baby can take some really serious picture quality. Auto focus, LED flash and touch focus (similar to iPhone 3GS) is also featured in the phone. It comes with image stabilizer, face and smile detection software too. Something worth mentioning is the the digital compass in the phone which is similar to iPhone.

We are all expecting a lot from this new X3 next year and hopefully it's not as disappointing as X1 when it was launched previously. X1 boost a lot of hype during it's time but faded away quickly too. Although Android 2.0 (Eclair) had been launched but SE still stick with the older OS 1.6 (Donut) as they had some difficulty adjusting their proprietary UI for OS 2.0. Their launch for the baby would mostly be after the festive season which mean they will lose out on the big profit which they can earn but I guess the development team are more concern of the quality and stability of the phone upon launching rather than rushing out an uncompleted work. So we will all see what is this baby gonna impact the market next year.

8GB iPhone 3GS Coming Soon??

There are news saying that iPhone is going to launch a 8GB iPhone 3GS this coming festive season. The reason is because their rival Motorola are launching their new Droid Phone and this will definitely cause a stir in the smartphone market and in other word, Apple's share in the market. Verizon had a very good strategy by setting the upfront cost, average usage plan costs and the unlimited usage plan costs for both iPhone 3GS and Droid at almost the same level. Verizon had use the psychological approach to this battle as they are betting that at the same price and cost, buyers would always choose to go for a new gadget in the market rather than something which had already been in the market for some months already. So what will the people from Apple do? BoyGeniusReport had reported that Apple would be launching their new 8GB iPhone 3GS for as low as USD99 to counter Droid's 'attack'.There are speculation that the pricing of the new 8GB iPhone could some how hurt the current 16GB and 32GB iPhone which is much more expensive. But nothing is sure for now. They might opt for a limited time sales (during this festive season) for the 8GB iPhone but nothing is sure for now. We will all need to wait and see what will happen at the end of the year.

Sony Ericsson New Flagship

Finally the hand phone or rather smart phone from Sony Ericsson that all been waiting for had arrived into our shore. This smart phone is the best in their shelves right now. The phone best feature and worth mentioning would be their 12 Mega Pixel camera. Weighing at 126gram and boosting a 16M color TFT screen this baby comes with a 3.5 inch screen. This is one of their first smart phone with full touch screen feature. Played around with it today and found it to be a bit rigid. Although it's a new unit, but I found that the unit is a bit slow and hanged during some stage. But the camera is so damn nice. So how much do you need to pay to get this baby home? RM2499 which come with a VH300 Bluetooth Headset (worth RM169). But the sales girl told me that I can get it for RM2300 cash.

The second phone coming out together with Satio would be Aino. The phone is not fully touch screen as the touch screen is only available on the main screen before you unlock it. So you can play around with the pictures, movies or music store using the main screen without having to slide out the keyboard underneath it. And not forgetting the phone pack a 8 Mega Pixel camera too. The baby weight at 134gram and has a smaller screen size of 3.0 inch. Aino is the has the same display as Satio with a 16M color TFT screen. It has an internal 55MB of memory while Satio has a 128MB memory. Surprisingly, this phone looks more better and perform much better than Satio during the test drive I had with it. The retail price for this baby is RM1999 but I can get this for RM1830 cash according to her.

Last but not least an entry level phone from SE. The phone is 115 grams meaning that it's the lightest of the three. But come on, can you really feel if you're phone is 10 grams heavier? The display is TFT but only boost a 256K color. The screen is smaller with a 2.4 inch and a 60MB of internal memory. The camera is quite decent with a 5 Mega Pixel, auto focus and LED flash. It's just like your normal phone right now. So if you're looking for a simple yet high on the camera side, this is something for you. I didn't fool around long with this but from what I experience, it's not bad. Response quite fast and the camera is good. Come on, it's SE. Retail price starts from RM1099 for the phone. Didn't asked for special price for this phone but I guess it should be less than RM1K.

Old Dogs, New Tricks

It is happy to know that my cat, Coco had familiarize with his environment. Now we do not need to worry if he got loose and won't return. He will just roamed around the neighborhood and occasionally fight with other alley cats. I am not sure why, but he is very agitated when he saw any black cat. Anyway, babe just informed me that both the dogs in her house are now familiarized with Coco too. In other words, they didn't bark or chase after him when they saw him coming back.

Previously, Bobo would bark non stop at Coco when he saw him in sight. As Bobo doesn't like the sight of any cats at all. Le Le on the other hand is still young and active, so he like to jump around and play with Coco. But we are afraid that he will hurt Coco unintentionally as he is stronger. But one fine day, when babe was coming back from work as usual, she saw Coco lying on the car porch while both Bobo and Le Le roaming around without barking or chasing Coco around. Who said that old dogs can't learn new trick. They just need time. So it's one less issue to worry bout my cat and he can stretch his four legs as much as he want now.

Pointless Jam

I had just confirmed today that if I leave my place (Kinrara) after 8am and 7.30am, I will reached my office the same time which is around 8.35am. My normal routine would be leaving my place at 8am every morning and there will not be any jam along Jalan Puchong. There will be some minor jam when I turn into Jalan Klang Lama as there are many cars coming down from Jalan Kuchai Lama. After that, I will be continuing my route to Federal Highway and up Kerinchi Link and reached my office.

Since I need to reached my office before 8.30am this morning, I had decided to leave my house at 7.35am. Fark~! There were already jam building up from Jalan Puchong after the overhead bridge (across KESAS). I was like, WTF??!!! Stuck in the jam for 20 minutes before reaching Jalan Klang Lama. And the crawl continued all the way till Federal Highway. It was already 8.20am when I reached Kerinchi and I speed all the way to my office and reached at 8.35am. Speechless~~~!!! And I got an appointment at Batu 11, Balakong tomorrow morning at 9am. So what time do I need to leave my house??

Droid, iPhone Killer?

I think by now most of you techno freaks out there would have heard of the new Motorola Droid phone. Their tagline is, "Everything iDon't, Droid Does". Actually  the competition was started by Verizon against iPhone but it's rather strange as they should attack AT&T rather than iPhone. Anyway, is this new smartphone gonna be the next iPhone killer? Well let's see what they had got to offer. They have a better quality of camera, it support widgets, touch keyboard and able to multitask (able to open multiple apps). Well I read on an article and what they said is true. Apple had been in the smartphone market for so long and they had already established a very solid foundation with Apple's worshipers around the world. I don't think that they can challenge Apple in anyway but might make Apple work harder on newer features but to kill iPhone? I don't think so.

For one, Apple has so many apps in their Apps Store and not to mentioned if you had JB your iPod or iPhone, you can do all those mentioned above, well maybe except t he keyboard but you can always plug in an external keyboard if you want. So I think Droid is competing with the other smartphones around i.e Pre, Windows Mobile or even Blackberry it seem. Multitask, widgets, keyboard and better camera quality, from the readers response, Apple users doesn't really care bout this stuff. But rather appealing to those using other smartphone based OS like Windows Mobile or even Blackberry. So if you ask me if Droid gonna be an iPhone killer? Well let's just say that an iPhone can only be 'kill' by newer version of an iPhone.

FF-TC Screwed My Time Table

My Monday class had been on and off recently due to my hectic schedule dinners. So I was at the gym waiting for Riyo's 5.30pm class as usual and were inside getting ready to start but we realized that there were still a lot of people sitting outside. What's up? We found out that the time had been changed to 5.45pm which is 15 minutes later. All the classes after that (BJ, BC and BP) had also been affected. Well I guess it's alright since all the clubs earliest class starts at 5.45pm too. 5.30pm is a bit too early for some people. After the class I quickly ran down to sign up for RPM class. Hey! where's the paper? Walk over to the studio and it's already PACK! Fark! Look at the time table and the time still remain as 6.30pm. WTH??!!! I thought they gonna change the whole schedule to 15 minutes later for all the classes. I didn't even finished Body Step and it's a 45 minutes class so I am walking down to the RPM studio around 6.20 or so and it's all FULL!!!

So what did I do? Sat down and have a coffee with Master C while waiting for his class to start. FF-TC totally screwed up my routine this time. What other solution do I have? Well, I can skip the party track and ran down to register for one. Or I can ask someone to register for me if they didn't join Body Step with me. Sigh! Finally joined Master C class and try to work out as much as possible from the tracks that I had selected. Haha! Gonna do the same track again for Master T class tonight. So for those whose there yesterday night, Major Deja Vu~!

Google Map Navigation on iPhone???

Finally a turn by turn apps is coming to Apple apps store. Well that is if the people in Apple decided to approve it. Google had already launch their new Google Map Navigator for Android 2.0 and are working with Apple if there is any chance to bring the new app into iPhone's built in Maps application. Here are some of the features of Google Maps Navigation:

Search in plain English
Google Maps Navigation brings the speed, power and simplicity of Google search to your car. If you don't know the address you're looking for, don't worry. Simply enter the name of a business, a landmark or just about anything into the search box, and Google will find it for you. Then press "Navigate", and you're on your way. 

 Search by voice
Typing on a phone can be difficult, especially in the car, so with Google Maps Navigation, you can say your destination instead. Hold down the search button to activate voice search, then tell your phone what you want to do (like "Navigate to Pike Place in Seattle"), and navigation will start automatically. 

Traffic view
Google Maps Navigation gets live traffic data over the Internet. A traffic indicator light in the corner of the screen glows green, yellow or red, depending on the current traffic conditions along your route. If there's a jam ahead of you, you'll know. To get more details, tap the light to zoom out to an aerial view showing traffic speeds and incidents ahead. And if the traffic doesn't look good, you can choose an alternate route. 


Search along route
For those times when you're already on the road and need to find a business, Google Maps Navigation searches along your route to give you results that won't take you far from your path. You can search for a specific business by name or by type, or you can turn on popular layers, such as gas stations, restaurants or parking.

Google Maps Navigation uses the same satellite imagery as Google Maps on the desktop to help you get to your destination. Turn on the satellite layer for a high-resolution, 3D view of your upcoming route. Besides looking cool, satellite view can help you make sense of complicated maneuvers.

Street View
If you want to know what your next turn looks like, double-tap the map to zoom into Street View, which shows the turn as you'll see it, with your route overlaid. And since locating an address can sometimes be tricky, we'll show you a picture of your destination as you approach the end of your route, so you'll know exactly what to look for.

I think the best part about the new Google Map Navigation is that it's totally FREE. But you will need to be connected to the Internet to be able to use it like the current Google Map.

Poker King

It was Saturday night and I was looking for any movie to watch while waiting for my babe. We had two choices being Body Snatcher the first but the seats are not that nice. So we choose Poker King at the end. Wasn't going in the cinema with any expectation for this movie as The Forbidden City Cop was totally a waste of time for me. And I was watching it at home at that time. But since it's starring both of my favorite actor Louis Koo and Lau Ching Wan so I will definitely give this movie a go. And it was a good decision too.

The story tells of Randy (Louis) who inherit his family business of casino but he is totally not capable and interested in it until he found out that his father is dead. The company is put under the supervision of Uno (Lau) who doesn't want the empire he and Randy dad had built to crumble under the hand of Randy. So he force Randy out of the company and learn the rope of life and hopefully one day he could take over the empire. So the story tells how Randy befriend with a girl name Smiley who gave him luck and the friendship finally grew into love (typical). At the end, Randy and Uno meet at the Poker King competition and we all know how the ending goes.

The story line is some what predictable but heck it's a no brainer movie and I am all in for a good laugh. And a good laugh is what I had. I laugh so hard at one point of the movie as it was really funny. Did I mentioned that Louis and Lau are both my favorite comedic actors. Their chemistry started during their first movie about bra called La-Brassier few years back. Damn, I was laughing my ass off in the cinema the same as this. Don't go in with high expectation but just for a good laugh. Laughter is the best medicine, right? (Rating: 3.8 out of 5.0)
